Catching Up

I am back and apologize for the delay in getting you caught up on our adventures.

We are currently in Foley Alabama-yes you read correctly ALABAMA!! or Bama as the locals call it.

Due to poor or non existent internet connections, I have been unable to work on my blog.

The next few posts will hopefully get you caught up before we are back in Mississauga.

The last couple of weeks at Myakka just seemed to fly by.

SEGWAY ADVENTURE

With some trepidation, I  gathered my courage and following a brief safety video and short lesson, managed to segway my way along the paths of Venice, Florida.

Not sure about this...

My relaxed look??????

The professionals mastering their craft in the parking lot .

Getting the hang of it:

A well deserved rest stop.

We all managed to survive without hitting or injuring anything or anybody. WHEW!!

Would I do it again?
In a heart beat.

Cross another one off my bucket list!!

SUNSET CRUISE ON THE PEACE RIVER NEAR PUNTA GORDA

A group from Myakka decided to go out and sail the seven seas-no not really but we cruised along the Peace River near Punta Gorda Florida.

Ship ahoy!

Despite  clouds and rain most of the day, by the time we ventured out, the clouds had cleared and we were witness to a magnificent sunset.

LAST OUTING TO BOCA

One last time this year to the beach at Boca to search for that elusive large shark tooth.

Beautiful white sand, surf, warm sunshine.

Does it get any better than this?

PARTING IS SUCH SWEET SORROW

We have had an amazing time again at Myakka.

Sweet that we were able to meet new friends and rekindle friendships from last year.

Sad that we have had to say good-bye to so many, for another year.

Celebrating good times with Bananas Flambé and ice cream.

Final ice cream run.

Final outdoor fire.

Final doggie walk with Bev and Brewster (aka Mayor of Myakka)

Happy trails to some of our Myakka friends.

Until we meet again.
