Good Friends Good Times -part 2 of 3

Wednesday, I joined a group from Myakka to venture out on another kayak eco tour-this time kayaking, around the waters of Boca Grande.

We paddled out of the channel and out into the open waters,
docking at one of the many sandbars in the midst of the waterway.

While on the sandbar, we found all sorts of sea creatures...

a conch inhabited by a large hermit crab,

a dead sea urchin,

a crab in the water,

and a conch buried in the sand beneath the water.

As I was walking along the edge of the sandbar, I spotted a star fish making its way through the water. Stephanie, our guide, and I watched it for several minutes.

Quite the find!
Good eyes Elaine!

The best were the marine worms.

They are worms that form tubular mounds of sand and no, they are not --------.
as some may think.

A gorgeous day out on the water.
